Need Urgent Help : Can H1B Holder have Tourist Visa

Hi Sir,

Can you please tell me if anyone is holding Valid H1 Visa then can he apply or have tourist Visa?
Because of certain Family reasoncandidate have to visit US for 1 month so can he get toursit Visa ? If yes what is the procedure to do so ?

Oh yes. depends on your purpose , if you will be starting H1b work in oct 14, the officer should be convinced that you will return after
the B1/B2 visit.( for example, continuing job at home).

Let me tell you the situation ...his Visa is valid till Oct 14. But he has to visit in May 14. He has no opportunity right now in going in H1.
So what do you think & how to proceed with that , any pointers to get this successful & what are the risks. Please Help.

Anyway , for the new B1/B2 he will have to have the routine criteria , and H-1 valid till 2014 may not have much effect.
The criteria are a stable ,very well paying job at home.
IF he is married ,it will be even better. And he should fund his own trip not get sponsorship from family in US.

Also the purpose of visit will matter and 1 m onth of tourism is quite a lot for a working person, so they would
want to see a matching leave from the employer. Also I would advise him to cut the tour to a shorter duration.
