Surname/Last Name issue

Hello – I am working in US currently on H1-B. My Last Name in my passport and VISA is differing from my parents. It was started from my school certificates and continued from then on. It was my bad that i applied for passport with the same name but now i am planning to apply Visitor’s VISA for my parents and i am facing issues. Can some one suggest what i can do now to get the things correct ?

In my passport i used the same Last Name for my father, mother and myself. But in my parents certificates it is different. I got to know i can do an affidavit but not sure how far it will fix the issues.

I apologize if this is not the correct forum to ask this. I am just looking for some help. I will be glad if someone can help me.
