First time vistor visa - please help

I am not sure if someone else already answered similar question, but I am looking for some advice regarding visitor visa for my parents.

I currently have an EAD (GC-awaiting 485 approval). My company also sponsored my H1B visa extension, however, passport does not have visa stamp for this extension. I am using advance parole for travel.

Questions:
1) To sponsor my parents for visitor visa, which one should i use (EAD or H1) or doesn't that matter? or both ?

2) If i am to use H1, is it ok if I do not have it stamped in my passport?(I just have the approval notice from BCIS)

they would be attending Chennai consulate
