can i apply for a visiting visa due to the fact i am in filing.

I got married march 2012. My husband said he submitted a application for for filing for my self and our now 6 year old daughter in January 2013. Its 2014 and each time I go on the uscis site and check on the filing status its saying requesting additional documents and I have sent those documents to my husband from last year.... my thing is can he be playing a trick on me and our child? How do I speed up this process on my own?

Also my brother is having is pastoral hand down on the 31st of march and I was planning on seeking a visitors visa to visit my brother for 2 weeks. Can some one please advice me in doing so.....

Is your husband a US citizen and did he file based on your marriage? If that is the case and he filed more than one year ago,
the process should have been over by now.
