How long interview takes

How long does the interview take (for visitor visa for parents).can we book travel to interview on morning as we have afternoon appointment (2:45-3 pm as given on web application receipt).can we return to our town immediately after interview or any waiting expected such as formalities or to collect any paper work or documemnts?

Interview itslef takes only few minutes, at the most half an hour in any circumstances.

However, you have 2.45 pm appointment does not necessarily mean, you will be interviewed exactly at 2.45 pm. It may be any time up to 4 or 5 pm.
