    I am working in a nationalised bank as a senior executive and intend to visit (with my wife who is a house wife)US on the occasion of convocation ceremony of my son who is there on student visa . I need to know how are my chances to get visa and what documents I should prepare- carry for visa interview (as my son is not earning there ).please guide...

    Since you have a secure job in a good position and persumably good income, it should not be a problem.
    you have to write on the form DS160 that you are paying for the trip yourself.

    Also, a leave letter and an NOC from your bank will be required.
    ANd you must mention your stay on the form as per your sanctioned leave.

    documents; income proof( salary slip. tax returns), employment cum leave letter and NOC.
    son's passport, visa copy and proof of his graduation and convocation. ALso any certificate
    (birth cert, school leaving) for your son, showing your name on it( not mandatory but some officers can ask for it.

    is provided there.
