B2 visa case: 2 times travelled to USA

Hello there,

I had travelled to USA twice and had H1B earlier and I had stayed in USA for around 1.5 years. I have SSN and US license.

As my H1 is no longer valid and I want to go to USA to see my family friends. Is there any issue in getting B2 for me?
Also, do i need to get some invitation letter from my family friends?
Do I need to take any letter from my current employer?

your current B2 application will be judged on your ties to home country;
you job and your income.



Are you married or single,
do you have a stable job ,
what is your annual income roughly,
do you have any relatives in US?
are you going to visit real family or just friends?

I am into same job on which I went last 2 times on h1 visa.

single
stable job from last 8 years
8-9 lacs annual income
no relatives in USA
only going to visit friends and have vacations/tourism.

going alone to visit friends all the way to US when you are single, is usually not a good purpose, and can result in a denial.
THe officers think this is an excuse and you will not come back.
Either go on a work assignment ( B1) thru your employer or if you are going for pure tourism, go with some family members with good income and
have a history of tourism travel to other countries.

My parents already has got B2..Should I apply for B2 and mention that I a going to USA as toursim with my parents?
My parents are both retired from govt job and is withdrawing handsome pension..

pls suggest..

being young and single , even applying showing travel with parents can result in a denial.
Since you have been to US on an H1b, if you apply through your employer for a business B1 visit, you stand a good chance of approval.
So I recommend only that not pleasure purpose.
