    hi
I had a GC until 2011 when I divorced and moved back to the UK. it was due for renewal and I couldn't cope with dealing with it at the time so I gave it up.
my 2 grown boys live in the USA. one is a citizen, the other has GC.
1). I have been told that if I apply for a B2 visa, it will prob be denied. I only wanted one in case I am needed to help out with baby due in may......
if it gets denied I would then not be able to use the visa waiver? is this true?
    2) if I went to USA in early June to see new baby, could I safely go back end of July for other sons wedding?
    thank you

    1. yes that is true. a visitor visa denial will render you ineligible for a visa waiver admission.
2.if you spent just a few days in early june, you could be re admitted end of July by showing the wedding card
and requesting a short stay again.

Thanks! Just wondering, IF I applied for the B2 and was denied, and then
denied VWP how would I get into the USA to see my kids.?
Why is the States so worried about people staying illegally? Even if I tried to stay I couldn't work or drive or have medical? Obviously I have no intention of that but its frightening to be so restricted when I have both children over there, and grand children. I don't understand!

you still have the VWP option even if it is 90 days. better than visa denial.
