DS157 for visitor visa

i read on chennai consulate website:

that DS 157 is for males between 16-45
do we still need to fill it?

What kind of visa you are talking about?
If you are sponcering brother or father who meets below requirements then you need to do that.


All male applicants between the ages of 16 and 45 must also submit a fully completed and signed Supplemental Application Form DS-157In addition to the above forms, if you are applying for a F-1, J-1 or M-1 visa, you need to submit a fully completed and signed Application form DS-158

Then click on DS-157 you will see below details:

If you are applying either at Mumbai or Chennai consulate, all male nonimmigrant visa applicants between the ages of 16 and 45, regardless of nationality and regardless of where they apply, they must also fill out DS-157 along with DS-156. One form for each visitor for whom it is applicable.
If you are applying either at New Delhi or Kolkata consulate, all nonimmigrant visa applicants irrespective of gender and age, must also fill out DS-157 along with DS-156. One form for each visitor.

at chennai counselate-aplying for visitor visa

dad is 62.applying at chennia
he doesnt need to submit this form.

VFS website specifies that DS-157 is mandatory for all the people.

Chennai consulate website still says courier fee should be made payable to TT Services. Does not look like it has been updated completely yet.

Mumbai consulate website still says courier fee is Rs. 441 which is outdated.

We are contacting all consulates and VFS to confirm about DS-157. We will post our findings here and also update the documentation.
