Hello, My parents are appearing for the B1/B2 visa next week. My dad's visa has been expired while my mom's visa will expired in the Sep 2014. They were granted the same visa twice in the past and have been to the USA for many times. However I recently found out that my Mom is actually eligible for the Interview Waiver programme, although my Dad isn't. Besides They are planning to go to USA after 2/3 weeks.
Now my Question is, Can my mom still appear for the personal interview along with my dad directly even if she is eligible for the interview waiver programme? Or is it compulsory to submit the application using the Interview waiver only once you are eligible for it? Because they are planning to go to USA in next 2/3 weeks and I am not sure how much time will it take for the processing of application via interview waiver. Besides she will have to go for Bombay for finger printing anyway even if she apply via interview waiver...
