Hi,
I will be travelling in 2 months to US and I have an L1 B visa. My mother would like to visit the place along with me. She has been wanting to visit US for a long time and Since I am going on short term stay (5months) I thought of taking her along with me for few weeks. She will be retiring in April 2014 and hs been having sufficient funds in her account. Around Rs. 3Lakhs. I will also be able to sponsor her for food and accomodation by showing my bank balance Rs.3L. My salary when I am at US will be $4700.
Can I provide an invitation to my mother asking her to accompany me for visiting the US? I will be able to provide all the documents from my side. My mother has an unmarried daughter here. My Father is still working here. I am married and have a kid. My baby (1 year) has got a dependent visa (L2). But I am not planning to take my daughter with me since my husband is not travelling along with me.
If the visa officer checks my visa details there is a possibility for him to think that I am taking my mother as acare taker for my daughter. But that is not the case. Her interest is to just visit the place.
Or, Is it possible for me to go to US and send an invitation letter after one month of my stay to my mother?
Please advise.
