Hi All
Good news. After several weeks of intense preparation my mom went y'day (Oct 12th) for her visitor visa interview. I sent her all the following documents

4) 6 Months Pay Stub
5) 4 Yrs W-2 and Tax Returns (1040 Forms)
6) Letter to Consulate
7) Invitation Letter to my mom
8) 36 Pages of My Passport Copy
9) I-94 Copies
10) My Original birth Certificate
11) Letter from Bank, 8 Months Bank Stmts.
12) Letter from my employer
She also took the following documents from her side
1) Her pension confirmation letter(She is yet to collect her pension)
2) Couple of our family photos
3) Property Documents
4) Her Tax Returns
5) My Dad’s Tax Returns (Becoz, one of her property is on bank as a security for my dad’s business loan, we had only copy of the original deed)
6) Letter from the Bank Manager
7) Property Value Certificate
8) Personal Affidavit
9) My younger brother college ID
Her Interview was scheduled at 12.15-12.45. But there was a big queue in front of the consulate. People with 11.30am interview time were waiting outside till 12.15.
My mom got in at 1.15PM. Paid courier fees and got token number from the front counter. She waited 10 mins before she was allowed to the main building.
She gave the finger print first and waited for her token number to be called.
She was just asked 3 simple questions.
1) Why do you want to go to US?
Ans: To visit my son’s family and to visit some tourist places
2) Why are you traveling alone, why your husband is not accompanying you?
Ans: He is a business man. He has to take care of his business.
3) How do you assure me you will come back?
Ans. My younger son is going to finish his studies by march 2006. I have to come back to take care of him. My mother-in-law is staying with us, I have to come back and take care of her also.
She showed the family photos while answering the question.
**** IN ALL THE DOCUMENTS THE OFFICER ASKED ONLY I-134. That's It. ***
BANG………….
The officer asked her to pay the fees at the first counter and wished her Happy Journey
Thank God, We are very happy now. My wife is going to deliver our first baby in another 3 weeks. We were very desperately looking for my mom’s VISA.
