Hi,
My Mother-In-Law(MIL) is going for her visitor visa stamping soon and I wanted to present her case to get an understanding of her chances of approval. Here's my case. My Father-In-Law(FIL) has two wives and my MIL is his first wife. All the three live together. My FIL is retired and earns pension. My MIL is a homemaker. FIL won't visit us as my step MIL will have to stay behind. FIL owns a house in Karimnagar, AP. One of my friends cautioned us that lone parents may not easily get a visa. Is that true? If so, what supporting docs might help? What should she answer if/when the VO asks about my FIL not visiting us(without really having to narrate this story)? I am on H1 and sponsoring her. Is it reason enough for the VO to believe she has strong ties to India due to the fact that FIL is still around and staying back to take care of house? I have been staying in US for 10 yrs and visited India last in Aug 2012 for my marriage. Please post your best suggestions.
Thanks in Advance.
