Holiday in the U.S before working in Canada

Hi everyone , my partner and I have currently got working visas for Canada which allows us to work there for 2 years. We were always planning on visiting our friends in new york and family in Pennsylvania, however I am aware that they require a return flight which we havent booked as we will stay in U.S near the 3 month mark and then travel up to toronto before our visitor visa expires. Has anyone else experienced problems like this or would the POE LETTER FOR CANADA be enough proof to show that we will be leaving the country ? . any help is much appreciated

you do not necessarily need a return flight to India. An onward flight to canada will also work. If you wish to travel by road to canada, you can show them
your canadian work permits but a booked flight is more convincing. . But it will be better if you book onward flights from India. like India--- NY---- toronto with a 3 m onth stopover.It will cost you less than booking separate flights from NYC to toronto.
