Shortest duration of a visitor visa.

Hello,
I am just trying to find out what is the shortest duration of a visitor visa that's been granted. I'm trying to get my parents here in Apr/May but am wondering if going for an interview in Dec 05 might be too soon. If they get a visa and if it is for 10 yrs, that is great. If not if it is for a very short duration, it would be a concern.

I've heard people say that they have been granted 6 months visa. Has anyone got anything shorter than that?

Shortest possible visa is 1 day. But rarely anyone gets that.

Most people get 6 months short term visa. Buy you never know, it may be something like 3 to 4 months as well.
