Visa to USA from India

Hi I'm a USA citizen,

i would like to sponsor my family member to come to USA for permanent stay.
can please explain the process to me. or provide me proper guidance.

that is my brother in law.

you cannot sponsor him. But if your wife is a US ctizen also, she can sponsor him but it takes 10 years plus.

The best way is, if he is single , he can look for a US citizen spouse.
Other wise he can come here on a work visa like H-1b , if he qualifies, and then get sponosred by his employer
for a green card.
