  • Sponsor's documents for self sponsored cousins.

Hello: I would appreciate if anyone help me with the following questions. My wife's cousin wants to visit USA this summer. They want a sponsor for this purpose. My wife is on dependent visa.
They already visited other counties for pleasure and are fine with self sponsoring themselves. I searched this forum and found that any question for this just gets a link to visitor documents but does not explain the document requirement.

As a sponsor, do I need to fill I-134 for self sponsored visitor?

Do I need to send my original birth certificate for this purpose?

What about bank statement & bank letter form my bank? Do I need to include those also.

I think I may have to send employer letter/visa status/pay stubs for proof of job.

Please let me know. Thanks in advance. - Anil

One does not necessarily need a sponsor to get a visitor visa. They can also apply as independent tourists staying in hotels in US with a clear cut itinerary or going through a package tour.

If they will show the primary purpose as visiting you and if they are self funding , you only need to send an invitation by your wife and a copy of her visa.

All the other documents you mentioned (I-134, bank statements, tax returns etc.) are required only if you choose to show funding for them.
That is not recommended if the applicants are well enough to show self funding because self funding is always positive for visa success.
