can i conceal that my brother is a us citizen

i know that many people have experienced a similar problem ...and i hope u share your experience :
i'm 24 years old and my brother "shared only by one parent:father" is an american citizen "he got a visitor visa from 10 years and then got married to an american girl" my question is:is it possible to hide that my brother is a USC or they already know this in the embassy before the interview... i'm a doctor and i want to get my training in the US ...i know that all my friends with close relatives being american citizens got their visa refused...any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You must not lie in the form.

You must disclose that you have US citizen brother in US.

They can find out in these times of extensive cross checks.
And the penalty for misrepresentation may be permanent ineligibility.

That's good. There is a portion in the application to check whether you have parents, brother, sister and etc. in the US and what is their status. You should always put the truth. But when you are interviewed for the visa, don't "volunteer" to the consul that you have an American citizen brother. If you are not asked about your brother, don't say anything about it. Don't hide the fact and never lie - but when the consul asks you about it, tell the truth. Just don't say more than you have to.
