  • Documents to carry for B2 Visa interview

In addition to documets listed in official sites, what are the supplimentary documents to carry for a B2 visa interview?
Also I have ticked B1/B2 in DS-160 when I am going to US to only visit my daughter. Will there be any problem during interview on this matter?

basically an invite from your daughter, her visa copy and proof of your work and income( salary slip, tax returns, bank statements) at home. that is all .
They hardly look at any documents these days.

No B1/B2 is fine. it is a small issue.

Many thanks and I appreciate your prompt reply.
Would you be kind enough to also clarify if I need to carry with me any document that gives valuation of my property etc say in the form of Affidavit? Also by visa copy do you mean a photocopy of the visa in her passport? For a retired official I hope my pension papers are good enough.
      Thanks in advance

Property valuation affidavit is really unnecessary. if you want you can take original property papers.

Yes, a copy of visa in her passport.

They decide by looking at your answers to few major questions on the form.
purpose of the trip. Who is paying for the trip. duration of the trip. Work. Income. your marital status.

By the way, who is funding the trip? If you are self paying, do you have strong pension and or strong savings?
If not , you should ask your daughter to sponsor if she is earning.

I intend to visit on self sponsorship basis. I have a decent pension and savings. Is Bank statement (including from multiple banks) good enough to justify the strength of my savings?
          Thanks

I had the visa interview today for B1/B/2visa. Everything was fine. They asked me about my qualification and enquired if I have carried with me a copy of my resume. I replied in the negative. The Visa officer then gave a blue form with my case number written. She retained the passport. The form says the application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision is made and application refused under section 221(g). The VO said that they would send a mail which I need to respond. What does this means in terms of Visa - does it mean approved pending additional info or rejected? Wud be thankful for a clarification.
