I and my husband is applying for a visitors visa. My brother invited us to visit him and his family this December. He sent us affidavit of support, he will shoulder all the expenses for our trip. The problem is we do not enough money in the bank. and we dont have real properties. Will this affect our chance of getting a visa?

Thanks for your reply. But I forgot to tell you that we have 3 kid that will be left thru the care of my parents. They are very dependent from us. Also my parents who are partially dependent on us. Cant this be an assurance that we will come back after our visit?

The whole situation should make sense and nothing should look odd.
When families go on a long trip to visit relatives , they do not leave all their kids behind; it does not make sense. If both of you were going on
a business trip for 2-3 weeks on your own money then it would make sense
to leave your kids behind.
Yours/ your husband's job and income are also very important.
If either of you do not have a permanent well paying job/business then the consular is going to think you are going to look for opportunities to settle in US with the help of your brother.
