Reconfirmation or cancel?

Hi,

Do I need to specifically cancel my appointment if I have not reconfirmed it at tts visas or will it stand cancelled if I do not reconfirm it?

I tried to cancel the appointment (b4 reconfirming) but it says that they do not have my details in the database?
