  • B1/B2 visa validity after name bifurcation

    Hello,
    My current passport details:
    Given Name: Sun ZZZ
    Surname:

It has a valid B1/B2 visa with details:
    Given Name: FNU
    Surname:Sun ZZZ

I have applied for reissue of my passport and the new passport details:
    Given Name: Sun
    Surname: ZZZ

Will this effect the validity of my visa? Do I have to re-apply for visa or is it ok to carry both passports? If any other documents are required?

I am planning to visit US next month so a quick response to my query will be highly appreciated.

Bumping up this again as i am in the same situation. I am applying for a new passport with name bifurcation. Would the B1/B2 Visa with FNU be still valid? Did anyone above travelled and can relate their experience?
