Buying Airticket

Hello,
While buying airticket, is it necesary to show the passport? My parents got their visa but the passport is yet to come. And as per my understanding it would take 7-10 days. I would like to buy airtickets for them to come on 11/13/2005. Can i buy airticket without their passports?

Ticket Purchase

If you have their passport information like passport no, issued place, issued date, expiry date etc.., then you can purchase the ticket, I believe.
