I`m a mechanical engenneering student!

Hi there! I`m in serious doubts about asking for a B2 visa extension!
Well i`ve been here in 1999 visiting friends for 15 days and they gave me 6 months but i satayed only 15 days! Now I came back in may 28 nad they gave-me 6 months again so i`m supposed to leave by november 27th so I`m only 4 weeks away of my deadline!
By the time the officer asked me about my plans during my registration I told her that I had came to travel all over the country doing a research on racing technologies for my graduation projects! So I did it! Well the deal is that I met a lot of nice people and some of them and one in special became a nice friend and want me to stay until february so I can join crhistmas and also see the birth of a friend`s baby! This friend is a brazilian like me but she is older, married to american and have great infuence in her place and most of the others are american fellows! Well I have to go back anyway in the middle of february because my classes will be started on march!
I`m worried to be denied because I only study in brazil I`m 26 years old and my mom is paying for this trip and i have my credit card but as I`ve been making friends my money is lasting longer because they provide-me places and food! I also have a letter written in Portuguese that proove that I`m at college in Brazil! I have my own house paid and have my own car and my parents farm there! How can I use all this info when applying for extension! Should I apply??? I really don`t have strong reasons to stay longer! Just Friendship stuff!

Since your reason for extension is casual, I suggest you consider this;
For one , it will take more than 4 weeks for the response to your extension app. to come and by that time your I-94 would have expired and if it is a denial, you will have to leave immediately and when you do, depositing
your expired I-94 card at the airport will record an overstay. When you
enter next time, the inspector will stop you for that and you will have to
convince him by showing him the extension app. receipt and the denial.
At times, people use up their desired extension period and the response
from immigration is still not there, so they leave and the response
comes back to your hosts in US. They must mail it to you so you can
enter again.
