Dependent Visa for Parents - Minor difference in Surname in my parents passports

Hello,

I am applying Dependent VISA for my parents and have a question regarding that. Unfortunately the surname in my passport and my parents passport has a very minor difference. In all of my parents documents the surname is mentioned as "DUZZZ" and in all of my documents the surname is "DOOZZZ". As all the documents has "DUZZZ" as surname, my parents got their passport with "DUZZZ" surname.

I am planning to book an VISA appointment for my parents and thinking, If the difference in surname will cause any issue when they go for an interview. Do I need to send any covering letter to explain the above situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If your parents last name is wrong in their passport then they should get it corrected before applying for visa. However, if it is correct in their passport and there is minor difference in your passport then it does not matter.

Your parents should obviously be prepared to answer if asked and not be taken by surprise.
