Tourist visa: length of stay in US

My parents visited on a tourist visa from 08 AUG 2013 - 10 JAN 2014 (left US on 8th Jan 2014).

Now my sister has a medical procedure for which we would like to bring our parents here. We are planning to bring her on 15th June 2014.

What are the rules for length of stay? Will there be any issues in port of entry.

there is no defined interval between two visits but it is at the discretion of the officer;
staying 5 months and then returning in another 5 months, they can ask questions. I suggest they take proof of
your sister's illness and mention the duration of stay reasonable at POE ( not 5 or 6 months)
