Urgent Question on DS-157, please help

Hi,
My parents have tourist visa interview in Mumbai on Oct 25th, we had
taken the appnt way back in July at that time we did not sent DS-157
form but this website says that after Oct 3rd it is mandatory, my question
is -
a) Should I ask my father to fill in this form and take it with him for
interview.
b) Does my mother also need to fill in this form.
b) Does he also need to fill in DS-158 form?

Technically, for appointments scheduled under the old system, before Oct 3, DS-157 for people at Mumbai is not required (other than male between 16 and 45).

However, in the mix of old system and new system, you may probably be asked for it. Therefore, I advise you fill DS-157 both for your father and mother and ask them take it to the consulate. Post your experience whether they were asked for it or not, for the benefit of others.

DS-158 is definitely NOT required. It is only for students.
