Cancellation of visitor visa.

can the sponsorer request INS for cancellation of Visitor visa, incase if he/she(sponsorer) wants to cancel it.

Hi,

I'm am sure but I have a friend who just last week was denied entry to the US and was sent back and his visa was cancelled and now he is banned for 5 years to enter the US. It seems that his sister-in-law who previously sponsored my friend's family reported him to Immigration. My friend previously went to the US on the same visitor's visa last year. He "worked" under the table doing odd jobs when he was here. After that, his family and his sister-in-law quarreled over family matters. When my friend decided to come to the US again last week, the question at the POE was did he previously work in the US. He got nervous and he told the truth.

So I guess the one who sponsors the visa can have it cancelled.

I am not sure if the visitor visa can be cancelled at the request of the sponsor (unless there is fraud or misuse of the visitor visa terms). However US Immigration authorities at the POE have the right to deny entry as seen fit.
