  • Am i need to mention my wife details in DS160 for my parents B2 visa

    Hi all,

I am staying with my wife in USA and now my wife is pregnant. Now I am applying Visiting visa for my parents.
    My questions are:

    1. Shall I mention Pregnancy reason in invitation letter, If not which reason will be good to get visa
    2. In DS 160 form I didn't get a option for daughter-in law in family details so I didn't mentioned my wife details in DS160 form. Will it cause any trouble.
    3. What will be minimum balance required to show for sponsor ship

Please let me know, Thanks in Advance

    Regards,
    Ganesh

    1. mention 'visiting son in US.'
    2. it is not a problem.
    3. usually they ask for salary proof rather than bank balance.
Are you working or is your wife working? what is your visa status?

      any issue in visa interview

6 months of stay is a negative thing for the visa.
        3-4 months is fine.

B2 is just fine for parents ( tourism). Also remember that when asked at the interview their answers should match what you have completed for them in the form.

for example, the duration of visit. so let them know exactly what you have completed in the form.
