I'm currently a Permanent resident in Canada and am looking to visit a friend in the U.S.
While filling out the DS-160 Application, under security and background I came across the question, "have you ever been the subject of a removal or deportation hearing?"
I have been subject to a removal hearing in Canada, to which I appealed, and the appeal was allowed last year (I won the case, the removal order was lifted).
I know a couple of cases where people have been banned to enter the states (for reasons that don't pertain to removal orders), but I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be inviting any unnecessary trouble, like being banned from the states, for ticking the 'yes' for the above mentioned question on the application.
I know some of you'll may think I'm overly paranoid, but the thing is that this is the first time I'm applying for a visa on my own and I just wanted to be sure.
So do you'll think I may just be pulled up for it? or will I be fine, and I'm just over thinking the entire thing?
