Could any one tell us if myself and my wife and kids went to usa on b1/b2 visa but after some time we had got approval for h1b petition, so is it we all need to exit from usa or can we do it from there only.

have you overstayed your B1/B2 stay? if you have, then you will have to return and apply for H1 at home.

if you have not overstayed, then you can apply for change of status in US.

Without relevant dates you are shooting questions in the dark.

1.When is the planned travel on B1/B2?
2. Till when is the B1/B2 valid?
3. What is the I-94 date on B1/B2?
4. From when is the H1 petition valid? Was it applied as Consular process or COS? If COS then COS from which status to which status?
