Need help urgently

Hi,

My mother got 10 year multiple entry visa and she came in the month of January 2005 for my sister's delivery. She went back after 6 months without extending the visa. Now she has come for my delivery yesterday.But the problem is when she arrived at the immigration she and many indians was taken to an interogration room and was asked the following questions:

Why have u come to US within the gap of 3 months?
Within 3 months what made u to come?
if u say u r employed who will take care of u r work?
What is u r purpose of u r visit?

and then the immigration officer sent my mom to her senior officer in the interogration room.

The senior officer asked her the following Questions:
Why have u come to US so early withing the gap of 3 months?
Waht did u do last time and the places u have visited?
How did u go to ur elder daughters house, give me the flight details etc?
how much time did u stay with ur elder daughter?
how did u visit u r sons house?
What places did u see with u r son?

Then he took the vistiting card of all of us and then asked her to bring all the documents(which me and my husband has given for her visa)
He saw all the documents and then he gave her a stamping for 3 months and also said u go back after 3 months.

Can anyone tell me why this happened , and is there any way she can extend her visa as my due date is DEC 29th and i have no one near by too and this is my first child and i am very much worried. I dont want any problem for her in her future visits.

This happened because many people just try to stay majority of time in US on tourist visa, which does not align with the purpose of tourist visa.

Tourist visa is ideally for people who want to tour the country.

Sometimes, some officers just might be angry, jealous or whatever. It is really difficult to say.

Why this happened is obvious.
Because she stayed 6 long months on her first visit and returned again
in 3 months. Using a visitor visa for STAYS rather than
VISITS, is inviting trouble.

You should be happy that she will be here for your delivery since she has 3 months. I suggest
she should leave after the delivery and not apply for an extension, since
she may again have problems at entry the next time.
