B2 visa granted on the 4th attempt
My Dad appeared for the (4th attempt)visitor visa interview on Oct 20th and he was granted visa. I thank the Lord for that. Its a great relief after I heard this good news.
I want to thank immihelp for such useful info they have in their website. I read through immihelp's user experience section before I prepared all the documents which helped me a lot in preparing my Dad for the interview. I also conducted couple mock interviews before the interview date.
The only thing I did different this attempt: All the documents have been arranged in two folders, one for sponsor, one for visitor. I tagged all the documents for easy finding that helped the visa officer to easily navigate through the documents.
Questions asked:
How many children you have?
XX
Who is in the US?
My daughter ZZZ
Is your son in the US?
No.
What do you do for living?
Retired and now serving the community for the last two years.
Now the visa officer said, their system shows my brother is also in the US which is false. My dad also confirmed that my brother is not in the US.
Now both the folders were asked and the visa officer quicly looked through the documents, took a glance at the family/property pictures and asked to pay the fees.
The interview was in Tamil in Chennai consulate, went very smooth unlike the previous attempts and I am so grateful to immihelp. I don't know the duration of the visa yet.
So anybody who is frustarted or disappointed, please don't lose hope. Try again and again and you will find favor in one of the attempts. I was also in the same situation before this has happened.
