what is good, one-way or round-trip?

Dear All,

My mother has a 10yr multiple entry visa and planning to visit me early next year. Is it recommended to take a one-way or a round-trip ticket? As the length of stay is totally depended on the officer at POE, what ticket should I take for her? I also heard about the tickets which are good for 6months/1yr. Based on the experiences of our members what is recommended?

No airline will give you a one-way ticket on a visitor visa.
One way tickets are for students, workers and immigrants.

Return ticket validity differs with the airline and they keep changing
that periodically. Most give 4 months and charge a little extra for a 6 month
ticket. Some give 6 months or one year by default. Recently I heard
BA giving a one year validity round trip ticket with first change of return date
allowed for no extra charge. You can check with any travel agent.
