  • Recommendation Letter (will help?)

    i just want to ask an opinion if Recommendation letter from a personnel inside the US embassy will help in obtaining a tourist visa? we have a family friend that is working in the embassy, with a high position, if he is going to give me letter of assurance that i will come back in my native country, u think this will help?

    NO. Such letters are not encouraged by the embassy.
    and will be counterproductive and will get you a denial.

    Consulars assess whether a person will come back from the applicant's
    situation(job, ties, finances, family circumstances) and not from
    someone's assurances,no matter who that person is.

      oh i see, so in that case, i may not ask for that letter anymore? iam just afraid because my friend was denied last month, with just one question and without even looking on his documents.

        Yes, avoid the letter.
        Rather you must look at what you can improve about your own situation;
        I mean ties to home country, purpose of visit etc.
