Amazing Episode in Chennai consulate.
All in all its painfull process but suprisingly it got over vvvvvvvv well.
My Parents had gone to the interview in chennai on oct24th.Their timing was 2.15-2.30 pm they were in the consulate by 12.00 pm they got in mabbe at 2.00 pm after all the intial procedure and had to wait for around 2 hrs before being called for the interview.Call it luck or gods grace it was very simple .They were asked 5 questions.
1. Who are u going to see in us?
2.Do u have any other children?
3.What Are u doing?
4.What is u r annual income?
5.what is u r son in laws annual income?
And then the visa officer saw the paper sent by us.
Returned all the documents .Everything within 3 mts.
And then she told u have got the visa go pay the visa fee in counter # 2 and u r passports will be sent within 3 days.Have a nice trip
All with a big beaming smile on her face. They we r greeted with the smiles also. My Parents didn't know y she smiled and were smiling very hesitantly.
They also told us that the officer just in the next counter was rejectin ppl relentlesly. And they told about a muslim lady in burkha too. Somebody else in this forum has posted a thread she was lil rude.Yeah then after 2 days they both got the passports stamped for 10 yrs.
We were all expecting it for 1 yr because this is the first time they went not many ppl get 10 yr in their first attempt thats what many ppl told us.Its Amazing for all of us that it went vvvv well.Hope many ppl have good episodes like us. Thankx to immihelp for maintaining such a wonderfull site . we prepared all the docs based on this site and even geared them up for the interview by the help of this site.
