On L1 - Want to Apply for Visitor Visa for Parents

Hi,

I am on a L1 Visa in the US

- i am paid my salary in india + a per diem here
- the company pays my housing rent, etc

they are both retired. my question is what documents would i need to sponsor their travel here?
Also what documents do they need to show - to convince the officers that they will return back?

documents are not the decision makers , they just serve a secondary purpose.

you will need an invite,a copy of your petition, your visa, your salary proof, an I-134 and bank statements, tax return to send to your parents.
please complete the DS160 carefully , that is what they read and decide on.

the duration of the visit mentioned on the form is an important point. Long periods mentioned like 5-6 months can be counterproductive.

do they have other children in India? That can be an important factor in the decision.

Both the children out of India can be a negative.
But you cannot do anything about it.
They just have to apply and see what happens.
