  • Land/House deed in Hindi

    Hi,

My parents are applying for a B2 visa. They own a house whose deed is in Hindi.

-Do they need to have it translated it in english?

-Does the translation need to be notarised by a lawyer?

    Thanks

In reality, they won't look at it.
But for their own satisfaction they can just take it with an English translation.
    No need for notarization.

For US consulates in India, you don't have to get any documents in local language translated into English.

It is expected that some of the documents will be in local language such as Hindi or any regional language and if they really want to look at it, they will have someone who can read that.
