  • Sponsoring Visitor visa to mom and unmarried sister together

I am seeking advice for applying visitor visa to my mom and sister (unmarried) sister together. I am married; we both have our green card. My husband is going to sponsor the visa, since I recently moved to a new job.

Question 1) How many paychecks do I need from the current employer to sponsor visitor visa by myself ?

My Dad is still has 1 year of service and he is not interested in coming to USA. So planning to apply for visitor visa for my mom (home maker) and sister (she completed MBBS and doing 3-year diploma course in a corporate hospital in Hyderabad).

Question 2) My sister cannot travel because of course work in next 1 year. Since my dad is not going with my mom; my mom can not speak in English, I would like to have my sister as company to my mom in the visa interview. Is there a possibility of my mom’s visa getting rejected because my sister is accompanying her ?

Question 3) Is there a possibility of my mom’s visa getting rejected because my dad is not going with her ?

Question 4) If I decide to apply for visa only for my mom, I believe my mom's application would be strong because she might not be considered as potential immigrant because she has my sister, dad in India. How is the visa process if I send her alone and book visa interview in telugu?

Thanks for your help in advance.

your sis just applying for the visa to be able to communicate in English is not necessary. Your mother can apply to be interviewed in telugu. But applying alone
does not give her any edge as many mothers traveling alone are denied. And about your sister, being a young , single doctor her chances may not be very good anyway.

Both mother and dad applying together have the best chance in my opinion. That sounds most natural to the officer. And sister staying behind
can act as a family tie. Also duration mentioned on the form should be reasonable 2-3 months, sometimes parents mentioning 6 months can cause a denial.
