  • URGENT: B2 Visa Rejected: Suggestion required

I applied for US Visitor B2 Visa for the first time in 7 years ever since i had passport and had no travel history outside the country. My wife recently got her passport some 3 months back and we applied together. The purpose was straight, spending vacation with my sister. When we went for interview this lady rejected visa just by asking 3-4 questions. following is how the conversation went:

VC: why do you want to go to US (IN HINDI) ?
Me: To visit my sister, who happens to be US citizen, to spend vacation wth her.

VC: Wich company you work with ?
    Me: XYZ MNC

    VC: What is your designation?
    Me: Systems Administrator.

VC: How much is your monthly salary?
    Me: XYZ Figures after taxes

    VC: What is your role?
Me: By the time i started explaining with a word or two, she snubbed me stating - "i didnt ask that".

And after looking at her computer for a minutes or two she printed out a rejection form, handed over to me and stated that the form has the reason why you are rejected and you can apply at a later time.

The QnA on website states that you should apply after some time and at the same time the site states that you can apply after 3 days of rejection. The big question is, i have already taken approval from my manager at work for vacations which i cannot postpone, so can i re-apply NOW as it has been a month? Or, if i should apply later, then after how much time?

Its unfortunate but visitor visas are discretionary in nature.

The "XYZ figures after taxes" seem to be on the lower side. VOs are likely to refuse if the salary is not a decent figure (~12 Lakh Per Year). Especially if your sibling is already a US citizen.

If you re apply too soon you will most likely be rejected again.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Salary is indeed less, i agree. However, in my case my sister is sponsoring my trip and shall be taking care of boarding and lodging. My challenge is: I can only take leaves during this time of the year, else would have to wait for next year. I read QnA on this site and it stated that you should answer to VCs question straight forward, nothing here and there. Was it alright, if i would have answered VC that my sister will be taking care of expenses when she asked me my salary?
