  • Help Needed

    Hello,
I am sponsoring my parents to visit me in USA, however, my father has an impending court case, would this affect his interview in anyway and also would the VO have this information while interviewing my parents?

Any help and info is appreciated.

Ds 160 form requires you to answer questions in yes or no about prior arrests , convictions and other background info.

If he answers yes, they can ask more about that. That does not mean outright denial but decision will depend on the
    gravity of the offense .

Thank you but, he had said no in the DS-160 form because the case is minor and not a criminal case. What can happen in such a situation?

I do not think any of those questions relate to non-criminal court cases. So he should be fine.
