  • Often Visit to usa on B1/B2 visa

    Hi All,

I am new in this thread I am a Indian Citizen.I got US visa in May 2012 I went to US in August 2013 first time. At the POE Border officer asked me Following Questions:-

Q:- How Long you want to stay in US?
A:- I said 3 weeks only and showed him Return Ticket.

Q:- Where you want to go? Do u have Relatives or Friends in US?
A:- I said no I landed chicago O'hare Airport and told him to see michigan, chicago and Detroit. He was Convinced and gave me 6 months B2 entry. I was quite Happy.

But later I extended my Return ticket and stayed in the states for 5.5 months and came back in feb .

Q:- Now my concerns are How much gap should be there for my second visit to USA. Can USCIS Officer at the border give me hard time when next time I visit US I am worried because Next time he/she can ask me you just came to states for 3 weeks and spend 5.5 months in States. as I have not declared any Relatives in my Application.

Guys please help me now How much gap should be in my next visit to US

    Anyone here in similer situation

    Depends on other factors;
1.are you working age group or retired?
2.what will be your purpose next time; tourism ?
3.Do you have family and work ties at home?
4.Do you actually have any relatives in US? on what visas?

Ok. Since you spent more than 5 months , and you are working age group ,you should plan your next visit 7-8 months later from the last visit , that is nov dec..
And again you should request a few weeks not more.

The reason is you are young , working age and
they can question you how you can spend 6 months in US at one time away from your family and work?

No they do not record what you tell
them at POE. Do not worry about that. The main thing is you left before your last date. As long as you will keep a good interval like one year , you will be just fine.
