Tourist Visa Extension

Hi All,

My Mom has travelled to U.S on B2(Tourist Visa),she can stay in U.S till August 20 2014(I94 expires on that day),We are planning for her extension.

My sister has sponsored I94 initially,Now my sister is no more on H1B status (she dont have valid documents to show financial support for extension).

We are planning for extension of Visa with my brother-in-law as the sponsor,my mother has to stay as she has to take care of my sister and my niece(4 months old).

is it possible to apply I94 extension with change in Sponsor,if so please need help like documents required and the will this be a valid reason for extension of visa?

One should apply for an extension early . as the process takes 3months sometimes even 4.
If she applies now, her original august date would have expired by the time the response will come. If it is positive it is fine but if it is a denial,
she will have to leave US immediately and the computer system will record an overstay. The next time she comes to US, she will have to convince them
she left in time after receiving the denial response.

If she still has to apply, go through a good attorney so they can prepare a good presentation.
Sponsor change does not matter.
But she can just apply saying she wants to spend more time with her daughter. Bbaby care is usually not a good reason.
