  • Re-entry on B2 visa?

A friend was questioned in March when she visited the US and was asked why she visited. She lied out of fear to the officer; she said it was a 10 days religious event. The officer called the airline to confirm her return ticket with british Airways. But she actually did not leave till 4 months later cos she had a baby. Out of fear she decided to purchase another return ticket from a different airline to London to avoid suspicion. Plus she had a baby even though, she denied being pregnant and travelled out of the US with her new baby. My question is will she be able to return in March of 2015 without any suspicion from the immigration officers?

Someone please help with this question. Thank you.

    1.was she traveling on a B1/B2 visa?
2.Did the officer not notice her pregnancy ?Since she delivered 4 months later ,
she must be visibly pregnant when she entered.
3.How much stay was she granted when she entered?
4.And she stayed only 4 months?
    5. Who is she visiting in US? Any relatives on what visas?

It was a B2 Visa she visited with and stayed with a relative. She was allowed to stay six months. She told the officer she had fibroids;her reason for the baby bump after over 30 mins. of questioning her. She was released after they could not get her to change her story. But she is scared they might figure out she was pregnant because she left with a baby that she did not come with.

so she was interviewed in secondary inspection. Then they must have a record of it.

I think she should contact an attorney before she enters again.

            CBP and pregnancy

Can I visit the U.S. while pregnant and what are the risks involved?

Although there are no specific regulations prohibiting pregnant foreign nationals from entering the U.S., entry is allowed or denied at the discretion of the admitting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer. If the CBP Officer determines that you are likely to become a ward of the government (meaning that the government must provide medical care because you do not have medical coverage), you can be denied entry. When determining if you will be allowed to enter the U.S., CBP Officers take into consideration the date your child is due for delivery and the length of time you intend to stay in the U.S. In addition, they want evidence that you have sufficient medical insurance to cover any medical necessities while you are in the U.S. and that you intend to return home. If it is determined that you do not have sufficient medical insurance to cover any unexpected or expected medical care while in the U.S., you can be denied entry. Additionally, if you are pregnant and entering the U.S. at a border port of entry via vehicle, be aware the radiation detection portals deployed at the ports do not emit any radiation, and do not present a hazard to you and your unborn child.
