  • Visitor Visa for Nephew and Niece

    Hi Experts
I am USC. I want my nephew 13 and niece 16 to visit me in winter vacations for 15 days. They just got there passports. I will be paying for the trip. There parents will not accompany them. What precautions should I take.
Do there parents have to be with them on interview ?
What are there chances of getting visa ?
There grandmother is here in US also on green card. And I have a newborn baby boy which they haven't met yet.
So please help me to get them prepared for interview.
    I haven't filled the DS-160 yet.
I really want them to visit us.
    Any help will be appreciated

yes, their parents will have to accompany them to the interview even if they are not applying.
If one of the parents cannot go, the other should carry an NOC from him/her.

If the parents earn well like a lac a month, they should pay for the trip rather than you ( on DS 160 write parents to the question who is paying). That will go in favor for the kids' visa.
If the parents do not earn very well, then you should sponsor.

Thanks so much peace for your quick reply. My brother earns well but it can not be proved. But they have a good bank balance. Another question , will parents be interviewed or just the kids.

I am not sure but the purpose of calling them is to make sure they consent to kids' visit to US. So they should be interviewed.
