  • URGENT : Parents and younger sibling application

    Hi,

I want to invite my parents and younger brother to states. We have been living here for past 3 and half years. My husband is on L1 visa. We will be sponsoring their trip. My younger brother just finished his engineering and going to start his job in October. He has his offer letter. My question is what are the chances of him getting visitor visa as He has not yet started his job, does not have bank accounts, just finished college.

    2. Shall he go with my parents for visa interview or separately?

    3. Shall he join his job and then apply for visa?

    4. If his visa is rejected, will it impact his future prospects to visit US?

    5. Does my father require NOC from his employer for visa interview? He is in govt. job and it will take time for him to get NOC and we want to schedule their appointment in this week. My mother is govt employee too. Does she also need NOC?

PLease reply ASAP. We want to schedule interview in this week. Thank you.

    1. Requiring clearance from government jobs to leave the country depends on the policy of government agency in your particular country.
    2. Denial of a visitor visa does not normally prejudice against future visa applications.

Thanks for the reply. So should my brother go with parents for interview?? Or should he go seperately?

If you brother is 18 or over, his chances of approval are probably better if he interviews without his parents present. There seems to be a tendency for one or more of muliple-member applicants to be denied when together.
