Thanks to the forum.Both my parents got visa apporved.waiting for passport by courier to see for how long approved
interview was 5 minutes.had transport problems to chennai from amdras due to cancelled trains so my parents went by flight.
the lady at the interview asked my mom, dad: (when they showed the sheet of listed properties they have in india-to elucidate the ties they have to india, in addition to my unmarried working brother)
1.how much is your pension
2.how many children you have and where (3 daughters married in usa)
3.what was your profession when working

thats it and gave visa.
i believe she trusted my parents sincerity as they followed the info from forums and passed to them.we took pretty solid documentation of lands in india and sponsor funds-that my husband enlisted and sent them.and the true look of non deception.

i am glad to share the good news.looks like really the interviewer can see if you are honest or not, in giving a visa!

also received their passport in mail today.10 years visa!!!
need to block tickets for mid december now as it is peak season for usa
i did hear though that at port of entry to usa they will stamp on I-94 the actual duration.hope thats a decent time duration given too!!

Usually everybody gets 6 months.
