  • Impact on B1 application for potential immigrant to Canada

    Hello Members,
The status of my current Canada immigration application with CHC is that I have received my file number sometime in June/July 2005.
I'm based in India and my employer needs to send me to our customer site in the US on a B1 (Business Visa) for a short period of time. I was concerned what impact my current Canada immigration application would have on the US - B1 visa interview. My doubt is that since there is a "Police Clearance Certificate provided for Canada" stamp on my passport, the chances of the US - B1 visa application being rejected are high. Additionally I'd be applying for my wife's B2 tourist visa to accompany me on the trip.
Has someone faced a similar situation and knows what to expect. Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

What you are doing with Canada immigration has nothing to do with US visa. Those are 2 separate countries.
