Hi,
I write this on behalf of my husband who is a H1B visa holder. My borther in law is a full time student in York university , Canada. He also holds a WP to work part time. He came to Canada in August 2005. Now he is planning to apply for a visitor visa to US. My questions are:
Its less than 6 months since he landed in the Canadian soil, so is it advisable to apply for a US visa now? Would he be considered as a possible immigrant? I ask this because a visitor visa rejection now may hamper his future attempts after finishing studies.
I read in this site that " to visit brother's family" is a perfectly acceptable reason for tourist visa purposes.
Ur suggestions would help. Thanx.
Swetha
