filling DS 160

I had a quick question on filling DS 160. I am sponsoring a family member and they are not computer literate and do not have ready access to internet / computer. I understand that the form can be filled by a third person. Can that third person be me (I am currently in the US)? I am also the sponsor.

Thank you Ray B for kindly getting back. Will it be an issue because I am in the US and my family member is in India and they will be applying from there? Can I save the form that I start here and send it electronically to them in India in someway, get them to sign it and submit it?

You have two choices. Sign and submit it for the relative, or give the relative the URL location and tell him to sign and submit it. He will have to take a printed copy of the DS-160 to his interview.
